Shennanigans to the Pathetic “Mixify” Campaign!

Shennanigans!!!--- And perhaps the most PATHETIC of all time!!

That's right ladies and gentlemen, you know it, you love’s time for another fun edition of "Shennanigans!!!"

Have you all see the inspiring "Mixify" commercial sponsored by the American Beverage Association, Coca-Cola, Dr. Pepper and Pepsi? Well if not, I am surprised because it has been airing way too much on TV and has flooded the internet.

Because these companies deeply care for the youth of America, they have put together a commercial about the importance of finding a health balance between all the essentials necessary for health... food, activity, and...

SOFT DRINKS!   Yep, soft drinks. All the 3 essentials needed for health.

The commercial has repetitive images of healthy young adults doing fun activities, eating fresh food, and of course drinking lots of soft drinks. Images of soft drinks are consistently shown between two actually healthy images. In fact, right in the middle of the Mixify logo, sandwiched between utensils and a person running is an image of a soft drink. Soft drinks are apparently the corner stone of any healthy lifestyle right?!?

So Shennanigans to you American Beverage Association, Coca-Cola, Dr. Pepper and Pepsi companies for putting together a disgusting and pathetic commercial targeting the youth, and intentionally confusing their minds by suggesting that your products have anything at all to do with health!!

Here is the truth... these products are the antithesis of health. In my opinion, they are poison and the #1 contributor factor to the overwhelming epidemics of obesity and diabetes currently exploding across the world. Commercials like this are only fueling the fire... intentionally.  

I'm not opposed to companies producing nasty stuff. They have that right. We as consumers have the choice to buy the nasty stuff or not. What I am emphatically opposed to is this pathetic commercial, and marketing similar to it, which is designed to target the youth, confuse the concepts on health, and impair their ability to make healthy choices... intentionally. Diet, exercise and soft drinks? Really?!?!

This is a wool dressed in sheep's clothing.

Pathetic...  So very, very pathetic.  And wrong.
